Eco-Restoration and Wildlife Rehab Centre (ECOREWIRE) was established on January 17, 2022. Our primary mandate is to re-afforest and regenerate degraded ecosystems using endangered and vulnerable species, and state-of-the-art agroforestry and eco-agricultural practices. We work alongside communities, corporations, and government to build ecosystem resilience and restore livelihoods.
To build a foremost egalitarian, world-class centre furnished with cutting-edge technology and competencies for restoration of degraded ecosystems, rehabilitation of endangered species, and mitigation of poverty.
Re-afforest degraded landscapes, revitalise dysfunctional ecological systems, build ecosystem resilience, and inspire entrepreneurial livelihood enhancement for subsistence biomass-dependent communities.
From river catchments to urban forests, our multidisciplinary team covers every dimension of ecosystem restoration, wildlife rehabilitation, and community livelihood enhancement.
Predating ECOREWIRE's formal registration, our permanent site has been in active restoration since 2019. It serves as the proof-of-concept for our entire methodology — demonstrating that even the most degraded tropical agricultural landscapes can be brought back to life.
